• Gradebook Declaration: I have published a blog post on my course blog that is between 300 and 1000 words long. The post contains at least one image and at least three text hyperlinks to other web sites. I have spellchecked and proofread the post. I have made a conscious effort to employ the techniques we discussed for writing better content for the web.

We discussed corporate blogging this week, listening to some episodes of Boagworld on this topic and having two guest speakers who are in charge of blogs for companies of various sizes. For this assignment, you will need to create a post in your course blog discussing your thoughts on this topic. Here are some ideas to get you started:

• Why do so many companies have blogs? Why should companies blog?
• Of the corporate blogs you have seen, which ones succeed? Which ones fail? Do you regularly follow any corporate blogs?
• Did you find anything interesting either of our guest speakers had to say about corporate blogging? What surprised you about what they had to say? With what did you disagree?
• What are your plans for blogging with your final project?
  • Is your site primarily a blog? Do you have any secondary goals for that blog besides producing good content to benefit your readers?
  • Will your site contain a blog, even if it’s primarily something else? Why or why not?
• What are some reasons not to blog, as an individual or as a company?
