Live Discussion (1)

I have set up a live discussion area that provides a place for you to ask questions and have live conversations with each other about the course material and assignments. (Learn more at the original Live Discussion assignment.) You can get to the live discussion area by clicking the link below, but there will always be a link to it from the home page of the course web site.

Typically, I offer Live Discussion as bonus activities. But since we will not be having class on February 10 I am making this 04. Live Discussion activity part of the assignments — and 04. Participate in Class a bonus activity. This assignment requires you to post four updates in the Live Discussion area this week (between February 6 and February 12). Two of these updates must be replies to existing topics, but for the other two you can either start new topics or reply to existing topics. The gradebook declaration for this assignment is multiple choice, asking you how many updates you posted; you can get one point for each update you post.

Be sure the posts are at least somewhat related to the course: if you have trouble with any of the assignments, ask a question there; if someone else has asked a question, answer it; post a link to your introductory blog post; if you are working ahead, ask a question or start a discussion about the reading material.
