Textbook

In addition to many free online resources (blog posts, podcasts, etc.), this course will use as a textbook the Website Owner’s Manual by the internationally-renowned web designer, consultant, and podcaster Paul Boag. You will need to have this book for a reading assignment in Week 3 (January 30): it is available in the bookstore, but it can also be purchased through a number of other channels as a printed book or as a PDF download. Domain Name and Web Hosting

Students will be required to register a domain name and purchase web hosting for their final project. The details will be discussed during the first few weeks of the course.

WordPress Theme

Many students will want to use a WordPress theme designed and developed by someone else for their final project. There are some paid options available, as well as many free ones.  The details will be discussed during the second half of the semester.
